Privacy policy for the Nundoo iOS app

2. Overview

Nundoo is an iOS app for managing tasks, daily planning, and personal to-dos.

At the current stage of development:

  • the app can be used without an account,
  • the app does not use its own backend or cloud synchronization,
  • tasks, notes, dates, settings, and other content entered by users are stored locally on the device,
  • no advertising trackers, analytics tools, or external crash-reporting services are used,
  • we do not sell personal data,
  • content entered in the app is not shared with third parties.

3. Data processed in the app

3.1 Content entered by users

Content stored in Nundoo may include tasks and to-dos, titles and descriptions, notes, due dates, planned tasks, completed or deleted tasks, and app settings.

At the current stage, this data is processed only on your device. We cannot access it unless you voluntarily send it to us, for example in an email or support request.

Information entered in tasks or notes may itself be personal data. The app is not intended for storing particularly sensitive information such as health data, political opinions, religious beliefs, banking details, or passwords.

3.2 Local app data and backups

App data remains on your device. Depending on your device settings, it may be included in a device or iCloud backup. We cannot access these backups. Apple’s processing is governed by Apple’s privacy information.

3.3 TestFlight beta use

If you test Nundoo through Apple TestFlight, Apple’s TestFlight terms and privacy rules also apply. Apple may process and provide us with crash logs, technical usage details, device and beta-version information, feedback submitted through TestFlight, and, where applicable, your tester name and email address.

We use this data only to identify errors, improve stability, and develop the app. We do not disclose it to third parties unless required by law.

3.4 App Store and Apple services

When you download Nundoo through the App Store, Apple processes data relating to your Apple Account, downloads, purchases, payments, updates, and devices. Apple is responsible for that processing. We have no or only limited access to much of this information.

3.5 Support and contact requests

If you contact us by email, we process the details you provide, such as your name, email address, message, voluntarily supplied technical information, attachments, or screenshots. We use this data to respond, investigate errors, and improve the app.

4. Purposes of processing

Where personal data is processed, it is used to:

  • provide the app,
  • store and manage tasks locally,
  • display and edit to-dos,
  • save app settings,
  • handle support and contact requests,
  • analyze errors and improve the app during TestFlight testing,
  • comply with legal obligations.

Where the GDPR applies, processing is based on:

  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where necessary to provide the app and requested functions,
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for error analysis, app improvement, support, and secure operation,
  • Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR where necessary to comply with legal obligations,
  • Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR where we obtain consent in an individual case.

6. No analytics, advertising, or tracking

Nundoo currently uses no advertising networks, tracking technology, analytics SDKs, external crash-reporting services, advertising profiles, or data brokers. Content entered in the app is not shared with advertising partners.

If data processing changes, this privacy policy will be updated when the relevant change is introduced.

7. App permissions

Nundoo currently requests no special iOS permissions, including access to location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, photos, reminders, Bluetooth, or health data.

8. Storage and deletion

Locally stored app data remains on your device until you delete it in the app or remove the app from your device.

Support and contact requests are retained only as long as necessary to handle the request, document communication, or comply with statutory retention obligations. TestFlight data is used only as long as needed for beta evaluation, error correction, and development.

9. Data recipients

We do not share task content entered in the app. Recipients of other personal data may include:

  • Apple when you use TestFlight, the App Store, iCloud backups, or other Apple services,
  • email or hosting providers when you contact us,
  • public authorities where disclosure is required by law.

10. International transfers

The app itself does not transmit task content entered by users to our servers or third-party services. Apple services, TestFlight, the App Store, iCloud, or email communication may involve processing by their respective providers under their privacy policies and contractual arrangements.

11. Data security

Nundoo is developed according to data-minimization principles. Because tasks are stored locally, their security also depends on your device. We recommend protecting your device with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID, keeping iOS up to date, using backups only in trusted environments, and not storing highly sensitive data in tasks or notes.

12. Your rights

Where the GDPR applies and subject to its requirements, you have the right to access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdrawal of consent with effect for the future.

Because app content is stored locally and we cannot access it, you can remove much of this data directly in the app or by deleting the app from your device.

13. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that personal data is processed in violation of data protection law.

14. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this privacy policy if the app, data processing, or legal requirements change. The current version is available at www.nundoo.app/privacy-ios-app/.
